What are the chances that YOUR religion is the correct one Christians?

9

Question by Atheist Hooligan Diver Dude!: What are the chances that YOUR religion is the correct one Christians?
There are currently 4,200 different identified religions in the world. Yet Christians insist THEIRS is right and all others are wrong. Do you know what the odds are that YOUR religion is right? It is exactly 0.000238095238. That’s pretty low odds huh?

To put it into perspective, you odds are better at ALL of the following:
Dating a millionaire
Writing a NY Times Bestseller
Fataly slipping, falling and dying in the shower
Audited by the IRS
Having a child who tests as genius
Being a woman who is raped
Going to jail
Seriously injured by mowing the lawn

I mean, really. YOUR religion is the correct one out of 4,200? What evidence do you have of this? (Other than your parents TELLING you its the right one)

Best answer:

Answer by Hasbeen
no they don’t. they say there is only one god. it’s not about religion it’s about god.

my parents told me there was no god and that the bible was a fairy tale, however i found out the truth was very different. i don’t actually go to church anymore but i know god is there and i have a relationship with him.

My boyfriend hates Christianity and I’m a Christian?

21

Question by Simone Marie: My boyfriend hates Christianity and I’m a Christian?
I’m 15/f and you’ll probably all say “You’re too young to be having dating problems like this” but I do want to stay with him. My boyfriend and I are polar opposites. I’m middle class Christian background, parents still married, a few siblings, etc. My boyfriend 16 is like millionaire rich (or his dad is) but his parents totally ignore him (his mom hasn’t spoke to him in like three years), he’s an only child, and he’s very troubled. He’s very kind to others but not himself. We’ve been friends for a while and I helped him stop drinking, cutting and having sex. We decided to start dating about four weeks ago and my family agreed to have him over for dinner to meet him. Everything was going great until after dinner, my family invited to have a Bible lesson with us and when my dad offered to let him read from it, he wouldn’t even touch the Bible and he like grimaced at it and was just like “No, thank you.” And that really set my parents off (but they didn’t say anything). I figured he was an atheist but he always seemed okay with Islam and Judaism and Buddhism and whatnot so I never thought he’d feel any animosity towards Christianity. He told me after dinner that he hates crosses and the Bible (but he doesn’t have a problem if I believe in it). It’s made everything awkward between us. Even if we don’t continue to date, I think I may have damaged our friendship.
Frankie, for all the bad things he’s done, he’s just an incredibly kind person. It’s not his fault he is damaged and troubled. He’s been abused in some of the worst ways you can imagine and his family never took the time to notice or care.

A Better Community For All (ABC4All), Multicultural Youth-in-Action (MYIA) and Nutrition and Kids (NAK) Join Forces to Combat Obesity in Children.

Manhattan Beach, CA (PRWEB) August 27, 2003

A Better Community For All (ABC4All), with the mission of “Maximizing Charitable Contributions on the Internet” and a recent nominee for a Tech Museum Award (http://techawards.thetech.org/) in Education (Nominee details: http://ABC4All.net/techawards.html) has a special opportunity unfolding to help fight obesity in children.

The Founder of Nutrition and Kids (NAK), Dr. Kim Gebrosky, (See http://www.nutritionandkids.net/10982/) has accepted ABC4All Founder, Dr. Burton Danet’s invitation to meet with a group from Northern California, Multicultural Youth-In-Action (MYIA). The meeting is taking place in Manhattan Beach on Saturday 08/30/03 at 11:00 a.m. at The Residence Inn By Marriott, 1700 N. Sepulveda Blvd, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266, 310-546-7627. NAK offers a unique fundraising opportunity for schools and nonprofit organizations while focusing on overcoming obesity in children.

Dr. Kim Gebrosky, the Founder of Nutrition and Kids in Newport Beach, CA, has created an extremely well received CD-ROM game that helps to educate kids and families on healthy eating. With growing numbers of national endorsements, NAK is tapping into a great deal of support from people and organizations including government and media. NAK is getting the word out about obesity in children and is becoming a very positive PR machine across the USA!

A visit to http://www.nutritionandkids.net/10982 — click on SAMPLE GAME — demonstrates more about NAK, about to be featured in the National Issue of “Science Weekly” to be distributed to schools all over the country this fall.

The epidemic of obesity and diabetes in kids is rampant. The NAK CD-ROM game is all about educating kids and families to making wiser food choices.

Any school or non-profit, earns $ 5 from every CD-ROM order! Children can take a brochure home to show their parents, and all can learn about nutrition from the game (played similarly to TV’s “The Millionaire” show).

The group, Multicultural Youth-In-Action (MYIA), is coming down from Northern CA to meet with Dr. Gebrosky and ABC4All. The Founder of MYIA, Myia Jones, is 11 years old. She attends Vacaville Christian School in Vacaville, California. In the year 2002, she created the Multicultural Youth-in-Action (MYIA) group. The goal of this group is to produce four community service activities per year that encourage young people to be intimately involved with positive societal events.

During the first year, since its inception, the Jones family has continued to sponsor these positive youth events with the expectation that young people will be inspired to be a positive member of our society. Myia is both the visionary founder and President of the MYIA club.

She is either a current or past member of the various organizations noted below:

1.    Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) – Basketball

2.    National Junior Basketball (NJB)

3.    Junior Basketball Association (JBA)

4.    Lil Ringers Northern California Golf Association

5.    Vacaville Christian School Marching Band (Clarinet player)

6.    Math, Engineering and Science Academy (MESA-UC Berkeley)

7.    Honor Roll; Vacaville Christian School.

Herb Jones is both Chairman of the Board for the MYIA group and an active duty Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy. Herb’s wife, Christa Jones, is Vice Chairperson of the Board for the MYIA group, and both a California State licensed Registered Nurse and Real Estate sales professional.

MYIA group’s planned activities for 2003 to date have included:

Youth Educational Investment Day (Sat., July 26, 2003; 3:00pm)

Community Service with Senior Citizens (Sat., August 2, 2003)

Leidesdorf Book Series Chronicles Historical Contributions to Mankind

Leidesdorf Book Series Chronicles Historical Contributions to Mankind

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) October 25, 2005

Everyday people pass Leidesdorff Street in San Francisco and Leidesdorf Way in New York City not knowing that the people for whom the streets are named are part of a legacy of goodwill, which is prevalent throughout their family’s history. Since the 1600s, the Leidesdorf family has constantly exemplified traits of respect for freedom, risk-taking, entrepreneurship, and true care for the fellow man.

William Alexander Leidesdorff, born October 23rd, 1810, assisted in establishing the Bear Flag Republic, declaring California under American occupation. He was the Treasurer of San Francisco when he donated land to create the first public school in the State. Samuel David Leidesdorf, born in 1881, earned his success through his own accounting firm, S. D. Leidesdorf & Co., but was renowned for his ability to raise money for philanthropic causes including the United Negro College Fund, the Red Cross, the United Jewish Appeal, the Young Women’s Christian Association and the New York University Medical Center. These are two examples of Leidesdorf family members who made their contributions to society and left their legacies to the world.

In his new book, entitled “William Alexander Leidesdorff: First Black Millionaire, American Consul and California Pioneer,” author Gary Palgon recounts the many accomplishments of the little-known man who became the first Black millionaire when gold was found on his property just prior to his death in 1848. With flags at half-mast, his burial in the historic Mission Delores was a tribute to his efforts in settling the state, holding the office of Treasurer of San Francisco, launching the first steam-powered schooner on San Francisco Bay, and holding the first horse race in the state, among other firsts.

In Assembly Concurrent Resolution No. 131, then-California Assemblyman Dave Cox referred to Leidesdorff as “a prominent civic leader and pioneer in the successful quest for California to become the 31st state in the United States. He was elected Treasurer of the City of San Francisco, owned the largest home in the city, constructed the first City Hotel, built the first commercial shipping warehouse, and donated the land to build the first public school in California.”

“As the original source material in Gary Palgon’s biography makes clear, many of William Leidesdorff’s most notable accomplishments relate to his participation in the beginnings of business and commerce in California. The achievements of this African-American entrepreneur, diplomat and California pioneer are truly remarkable.” commented Martin McGuinn, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mellon Financial Corporation.

“William’s life was cut short in 1848 at the age of 38 years when he died of meningitis”, said Mr. Palgon, “and the sad part is that family, friends and the government spent the next fifty-plus years arguing over his estate, which was valued at more than one million dollars at the time.”

Cheese, I didn’t think anything about it because he’s let people talk to him about other religions and I’ve seen him reading parts of the Quran or the Torah with no problem. So it’s specifically Christianity he hates. If he disliked religion in general, I would understand but it’s only Christianity he has a problem with.

is there a christian-millionares dating site 100% free no cresit card needed?

Question by GodsDesire: is there a christian-millionares dating site 100% free no cresit card needed?
please e-mail to me all known christian millionaire dating sites that are 100% free with no credit card needed!

Best answer:

Answer by savagenarce
Depends.

Are you a Christian millionaire looking for a date? If so, the fee for such a site and/or the need for a credit card shouldn’t really be a problem.

Or are you someone wanting to date a Christian millionaire, but have no money or credit card? If so, the problem is that the Christian millionaires and the dating websites have no way to confirm that you are who you say you are, and not some creepy stalker perv. One way they make that confirmation is by getting you to supply a credit card number, which then leads to credit reports and other data that confirms your identity, marital status and so on.
